Finally after a couple of months of work behind the scenes, the V3 map was made Live! Existing players on the v2 map had their bases moved over if thay had played during the previous 3 weeks or were otherwise regular players and wanted their bases moved. Player profiles were moved over as well and the people who were playing on the test server had their bases and characters kept in place only losing the contents of their storage boxes (the same for everyone basically). In total it took 15 hours to move the players and bases over from V2 and iron out a couple of mistakes I made with linux file permissions. A fairly smooth transition overall.
